Autumn break at the aquarium
Visit Øresund Aquarium during the fall break. We've arranged fun and exciting activities throughout the week. Touch live marine animals, join in on feedings, visit our water lab, take an Øresund quiz and see exciting pictures and videos of the wildlife in the Sound in our auditorium. You can also go on a porpoise and seal safari on the Øresund or listen to an exciting lecture when we open on Thursday evenings.
Animal news
Come and meet our brand new herring that our keepers have caught in the Sound.
Aquarium staff spend a lot of time capturing animals for our exhibitions. As the animals we have in our aquariums are native species and come from the waters right outside our front door.
Feeding the animals in the aquarium
Every hour you can experience the animals being fed in selected aquariums where the aquarium guides will tell fun stories and exciting facts about the animals. The first feeding starts at 11 am at our small stirring tank. Here you can help feed the animals yourself.
Touch live marine animals
3 times a day (11:30, 13:30 and 15:30) the aquarium guides take you behind the scenes to the wet table where you can touch and see a lot of exciting and different marine animals. You'll also learn interesting stories and facts about the animals. There's only room for 25 at a time, so remember to sign up on the sign-up list in the ticket office if you want to join.
Visit the Water Laboratory
At 12:30 and 14:30 you can visit our water laboratory with our guides and help feed the animals. This activity is open to everyone and requires no registration, just a regular admission ticket. Meet up at the aquarium's main entrance and off you go as a group.
The unique Øresund
Experience the unique Øresund in our auditorium when we show beautiful pictures and video footage of the wildlife in the Øresund. The auditorium is open to aquarium visitors between 10am and 4pm every day during the fall break.
Øresund Quiz
In the Øresund Quiz you can learn more about the unique wildlife of Øresund. Answer the quiz questions as you move through the exhibition. When you're done, hand in the quiz to one of the aquarium staff and see if you've answered correctly.
You can pick up the quiz at the ticket office.
Porpoise and seal safari
Do you want to go out on the Sound and see Denmark's smallest whale, the porpoise, the seal or maybe even the Atlantic tuna? Then join us on a porpoise and seal safari and get close to the unique wildlife in Øresund.
We sail out in our large inflatable boat and set course for the northern part of the Sound, where the porpoises live.
You can read more about our Porpoise and Seal Safari here.
