Øresund Aquarium is part of the Department of Biology, University of Copenhagen, headed by Professor Niels Kroer.
The head of Øresund Aquarium is also a member of the section council, which consists of Professor John Fleng Steffensen, Professor Mathias Middelboe, Professor Per Juhl Hansen, Head of IOC Centre Henrik Enevoldsen, Associate Professor Niels Daugbjerg, Thomas Christensen (the boats), Helle Kovaltsenko (accounting) and Jens Larsen (laboratory technician).
Essential decisions regarding the Marine Biology Section / Laboratory and Øresund Aquarium are taken by the Board of Directors in consultation.
